Market Update
landproDATA reported 1,788 New Residential Construction Permits issued and 1,925 Recorded Subdivision Lots for Q1 2025 - both figures showing an increase from the previous quarter and the same time last year. This upward trend points to a strong and growing housing market, with steady momentum in both current construction and future development approvals.
The rise in final plat and recorded lots indicates continued confidence in long-term residential growth. While vacant lots increased slightly from last quarter, and decreased compared to Q1 2024, suggests tightening supply possibly signaling that builders are preparing for sustained demand heading into the summer. If this trend continues, the market could experience further growth in new housing starts through mid-2025.
